Cookie policy
Last updated: August 7, 2026
This policy explains which cookies this site uses, what for, and how you stay in control of them.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser to remember something from one page to the next. Here we use the word to cover equivalent browser storage technologies as well.
Which cookies we use today
Just one, and it is strictly necessary: it does not identify you, does not follow you across other sites, and does not require consent.
| Cookie | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Stores the language picked in the switcher so the preference survives as you move between pages. | Session, deleted when you close the browser |
What we don't use
We use no advertising cookies, no social network cookies and no cross-site tracking. There is also no analytics cookie at this time: no audience measurement tool is running on this site.
If we start measuring audience, measurement will only run after your explicit consent, this policy will be updated beforehand, and declining will not cost you access to anything.
How you stay in control
Since only a necessary cookie exists, we show no consent banner. Asking for consent where consent is not required only trains people to click “accept” without reading.
You remain in control through your browser: all of them let you block or delete cookies in the privacy settings. Blocking the cookie above makes the language switcher forget your choice, but it does not stop you from using the site.
Third-party cookies
No third party sets cookies on this site. Once you follow a link out, to LinkedIn or GitHub for instance, the destination's policy applies, not this one.
More information
Personal data processing as a whole, including your rights and how to exercise them, is described in the privacy policy. Questions about cookies can also go straight to contato@alvorance.com.
